Conceptual Model

The overarching goal of the ePDP is for students to take ownership of their college experience and map a meaningful, cohesive journey; students who successfully complete the ePDP ideally build the cognitive and affective capacity to engage in lifelong, life-wide learning in the multiple contexts and roles they will inhabit as adults. The conceptual model has four domains: increasing awareness of self and others, setting self-concordant goals, developing hope, and shaping education and career plans. These four domains build a foundation upon which students begin to develop a sense of life purpose through integration of college experiences both inside and outside the classroom.
